Awards & Recognition

The most important values in Pinewood Derby competition are parent/Scout participation, good sportsmanship and learning how to follow rules. Everyone is responsible for recognizing and encouraging these qualities in addition to traditional racing awards.
Every participating Scout will receive a Pinewood Derby patch.
Medals or equivalent awards will be awarded to the first, second and third-place finishers in the Scout Division. Ribbons will be awarded to the siblings division. Only one ribbon will be presented in the parent division.
Additional awards will be made for various superlative "appearance" categories as follows at the Pack 7 event:

Best Paint Job

Most Aerodynamic

Most Scout Spirit

Most Realistic

Most Accessorized

Most Humorous

Most Patriotic

Most Original

The Car Most Likely Built by A Cub Scout

and Judges' Choice
